2025 Republican Convention Cycle Information
MASS PRECINCT CAUCUS
The Clarke County Mass Precinct Caucus will be held on Saturday, FEBRUARY 22, 2025 at The Bridge Community Church, 973 Prince Avenue, Athens 30606, . Registration will begin at 9:00 am with the doors closing at 10:00 am. The purpose of this meeting will be to gather voters in every precinct to caucus (collaborate) to determine leaders in individual precincts and to elect Delegates and Alternates to the County Convention held in March. Note that only those delegates elected by the precincts may vote in the County Convention. There is no registration fee. To speed up registration on the day of the caucus, there will be an online link made available soon OR you may register at the caucus. The doors open for registration at 9:00 a.m. DOORS CLOSE PROMPTLY AT 10:00 a.m. when the business of the Caucus begins.
No admittance is allowed after the doors close.
COUNTY CONVENTION
The Athens Clarke County GOP Convention will be held on Saturday, MARCH 22, 2025, at The Bridge Community Church, 973 Prince Avenue, Athens 30606,. The purpose of the county convention is to elect county party leadership as well as delegates and alternates to the District and State Conventions. There is no registration fee. Clarke County Republican Party leadership will be decided at this convention.County GOP leadership 2025-27 will be decided at this convention.
TENTH DISTRICT CONVENTION
The 10th District Convention will be held on Saturday, APRIL 26, 2025 at the Oconee County Civic Center, 2661 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677. Doors open a 8:30 am. Doors close promptly at 10am. There will be a fee of $35 for pre-registration ($40 at the door). The purpose is to elect Delegates and Alternates to represent the 10th District at the State Convention, held in June. Tenth District leadership 2025-27 will be decided at this convention.
GEORGIA STATE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION
The Georgia State Republican Convention will be held Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, 2025 at the Dalton Convention Center, 2211 Tony Ingle Parkway, Dalton, GA 30720. Pre-Registration Fee $150 (at the door/credit card only $200). If you attend all of the activities (registration, hotel, parties, dinner, breakfast, etc.) the cost may be several hundred dollars. You can tailor your experience according to your budget. Delegates and Alternates are only required to attend the business meeting on Saturday, June 7. Elected Delegates and Alternates will receive registration information by email.
Who can be a delegate?
You must be registered to vote in Clarke County Georgia, in the precinct/district/state in which the convention is held.
Who should be a delegate?
The best delegates/alternates pool should come from those who attend GOP meetings regularly and are members of the local Clarke County Republican Party.

County Convention: $0
District Convention Registration Fee: $35
State Convention: There is a registration fee (amount TBD). Total cost will depend on what you attend (Saturday only, just convention fees at a minimum).
